What is Economic Development?
This working definition of "economic development" was adopted by the GEDA Board of Directors in February, 1999:
GEDA defines economic development as a sustainable process of:
- Creating economic opportunity for all citizens
- Stimulating business investment
- Diversifying the public revenue base
- Enhancing quality of life
