New Web Site for GEDA!
GEDA has a new, fresh face – of the online variety. The site has been given a facelift. Plexus Web Creations, Inc. of Athens, Georgia has been working with GEDA staff members and the GEDA Technology Task Force for two months now to greatly enhance the functionality, format and usability of the website.
Several new features have been added while many others have been upgraded. Some examples include: - Portions of the website are now “PDA-friendly” so that they can easily be accessed from handheld devices, such as Blackberries and i-Phones. This was a specific member request, focusing mainly on the Member Directory; - The Member Directory has expanded information in it, another member request. Members can list certifications held, upload a photograph and list other areas of expertise, among many new available topics. Along with the new directory funcionality comes a stronger search and filter feature that makes it easier to find contact information for the exact member you’re searching for. - The news and announcement sections will provide greater sharing of information from the GEDA staff to the membership. This will allow GEDA to provide you with more information but with fewer emails. - There are many other features that should make this tool much more user friendly.
