Economic Development Law in Georgia Seminar

1

The Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE) in Georgia will be hosting the “Economic Development Law in Georgia Seminar.” The program will take place on November 20, 2008 at the State Bar of Georgia Headquarters on Marietta Street in Atlanta. This 8-hour seminar includes 7 hours of Continuing Legal Education as well as an additional 8th hour of ethics! Why is this important? All Development Authority members in Georgia must attend 8 hours of training, in accordance with state law. This course, now that it has an 8th hour, can serve as that training. Also, any Development Authority attorneys will want to attend for their CLE credit, as well as taking the opportunity to learn about financing projects, compliance with open records and open meetings requests and ethical discussions. GEDA is one of the co-sponsors of this program. We are happy to partner with ICLE, the Henry County Development Authority and the Fanning Institute to bring this program offering to the membership. And did I mention that you can witness presentations by some of GEDA’s own heavy hitters like Bob Simmons, Dan McRae, Misti Martin and Senator Jeff Mullis?

Please see the attached PDF or go to the ICLE website for further information and for registration information.
