Nominations time!

Have you ever sat at a luncheon or a conference and wondered, “Why did they make that decision?” Do you ever think that you have great ideas that you’d like to see GEDA consider but need a forum to do so? Do you know someone who you think would make te next great GEDA leader? Or are YOU that person?

It is time to submit names to the GEDA Nominating Committee for this year’s new Secretary-Treasurer and new slate of Directors!

If the answer to ANY of the above questions is “yes”, give us the information listed below and make your voice be heard!

The following characteristics and factors are among those that have been considered by previous Nominating Committees in identifying potential GEDA leaders. These are examples of factors to consider, not prerequisites, and these are not listed in any particular order: • Ability to potentially serve as President • Leadership, competence, character • Active commitment to GEDA and to economic development • Professional certification • Willingness to devote time • Support from employer • Availability of local staff support • Ethical integrity • Awareness and participation in related state and local organizations • Overall geographic, gender & ethnic diversity of the leadership team • State-level / local level balance among the Officers and within the Board.
