Community Improvement Director This position, under the supervision of the City Manager, will oversee Economic Development efforts, planning and zoning, code and building inspections, downtown development and facility management. This position requires the cultivation of partnerships with public officials, economic development agencies, business representatives, citizens and volunteer stakeholders. This position also requires an understanding of the principles and practices of economic development, marketing, recruitment, financial incentives and land development. Required: Qualified applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Economics or closely related field; supplemented by 3-5 years of experience in community development and 4 years of supervisory experience or any equivalent combination. Must have proven experience working with volunteer boards. Qualified applicants must also possess a valid driver’s license. Master’s degree and relevant certifications are preferred.
