Professional Bio
Rope Roberts is the principal in Rope Roberts Consulting where his fresh approach to rethinking how communities develop is used to help shape new solutions for his clients. His 30 years in community and economic development has given him a vast level of experience to help communities plan for their future.
The focus of his consulting is to help communities concentrate on the issues that keep them from being economically successful. His expertise is centered on economic and community development, including strategic planning, leadership training, financial understanding and communication planning.
Because of the importance of housing in the economic development process as well as community success, Rope also offers housing studies, solutions and options that focus on those in various areas of the workforce and talent pool. Instead of a “cookie cutter” approach to the problem, Rope gets a thorough understanding and offers solutions that work with the client’s needs.
He lives in Clarkesville with his wife, Anne, a college professor in nursing and reflexologist. They have seven grown children and four grandchildren. Rope’s hobbies include reading, hiking, photography, traveling and yoga.
