Job Title: Business Retention and Expansion Manager
Job Summary: The Fayette County Development Authority is looking for an unintimidated, positive attitude, problem-solving candidate to fill the Business Retention and Expansion Manager position. Compensation: $50,000 – 85,000 commensurate with experience and education.

What You’ll Do
• Develop and maintain professional business relationships in order to assist with the retention and expansion of existing industries.
o Actively participate in local industry events, programs, and initiatives to become established as a primary resource for all existing industry related assistance and information.
o Respond quickly to industry partners and team members.
• Manage and execute multiple, complex programs and/or projects that require collaboration and communication with existing businesses and community stakeholders, often deadline driven.
o Project support and coordination, including prepare reports, data analysis, and other documents as requested in support of a new industry prospect, Request for Information
o Analyze business projections of all kinds of industry as they grow within our county o Continually evaluate the FCDAs existing industry program to identify challenges and opportunities for improvement and business growth o Measure program performance and recommend goals, priorities, and delivery strategies. Implement best practices and innovative solutions.
• Provide existing industry support including:
o Conduct regular site visits to existing industry. o Monitor and maintain an updated database of industry contacts and visits.
o Serve as a single point of contact for existing industries in Fayette County looking to grow.
• Administrative duties also include
o Review available sites and buildings in FCDA website and update as necessary.
o Prepares draft project proposals using FCDA templates o Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of Fayette County Development Authority events on an as needed basis
• ESSENTIAL: Quick to learn local industries across business sectors and to get acquainted with key stakeholders.
o You can wield resources like a Jedi Master. Able to understand and synthesize multidisciplinary business situations and solve problems by making connections.

Required Qualifications
• Education: College degree in business, economics, marketing, or related field OR the equivalency of experience in economic development.
• Experience: Three years professional experience in economic development, business development, or workforce development.
• Proven program or project management excellence through effective communication, savvy interpersonal relationships, and time management skills.
• Experience handling complex and/or confidential information with discretion.
• Proficiency in the use of computer programs: o Microsoft Office Productivity Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint o Salesforce
o G-Mail / Outlook o Internet
Preferred Qualifications
• MBA or related graduate degree
• Live in Fayette County
