Job Description & Details:

Essential Functions:

The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar; related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Supports and implements the County's economic development programs and services that align with the County's five year strategic plan; provides advice and consultation to County departments;

Participates in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for assigned marketing related programs; participates in policy formulation effecting business; recommends and assists in administering policies and procedures. Performs a full range of marketing and public relations activities; creates and distributes marketing and collateral materials; develop and coordinate distribution of press releases with County and external partners; manages existing social media efforts and develops a comprehensive strategic social media strategy.

Participates in coordinating with County staff and municipal partners to develop strategic marketing and communication strategies in a timely manner.

Prepares a variety of reports and documents; provides monthly, quarterly and annual communications to economic development stakeholders as assigned.

Develops long-and short-range marketing and communications plans and assists in compiling informational reports.

Develops regional economic development partnerships.

Attends and participates in professional group meetings; maintains awareness of new trends and developments in the field of economic development; incorporates new developments as appropriate.

Supports County project managers and assists in responding to RFP, RFI, IOI and other requests for information for Economic Development projects from State, County, Local and Site Selectors.
