Key Tasks and Responsibilities Craft compelling and insightful narratives on community, workforce, and economic development trends that impact our client communities using public, proprietary, and qualitative data.

Conduct interviews and facilitate focus groups with community and business leaders from our client communities.

Create informative data visualizations that inspire stakeholders.

Prepare and deliver engaging PowerPoint presentations for clients and other audiences.

Work with other team members to complete other project tasks as assigned by internal deadlines.

Moderate travel to attend key meetings with clients and community leaders.

Significant familiarity with government data (U.S. Census, Bureau of Labor Statistics, etc.)

Comfortable making suggestions to management regarding process and product improvements.

Able to work independently to meet time-sensitive/critical deadlines for clients.

Effective listening and questioning skills.

Excellent writing and proof reading skills.

Able to travel overnight up to twice a month for client meetings and professional development.

Education and Experience

Minimum Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred.

Undergraduate or graduate-level coursework in math, economics, statistics, research methods, urban planning, and public policy preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Experience in interviewing, meeting facilitation, public speaking, and presentations and instruction preferred.

Experience with ARC GIS, statistical programming languages, or impact analysis software preferred but not required.

2-5 years prior experience analyzing communities and relevant data in a professional setting is preferred.

This position will have strong potential for promotion to the position of Project Manager; interest in strategic advisement and project team supervision is preferred.
