Serving within the Research Faculty of The Institute, these one-year limited-term Research Associate roles support the economic development mission of Georgia Tech to the State of Georgia. Fellows accepted into the WFT program will be financially supported by the Partnership for Inclusive Innovation (PIN). The PIN program is a public-private partnership, launched in 2020 to lead coordinated, state-wide efforts to position Georgia as the Technology Capital of the East Coast. Dedicated to advancing technology, opportunity, and shared economic success across the state, the main pillars of PIN focus on community research, student engagement, workforce development, and economic opportunity. Fellowship Program Description:
The Partnership for Inclusive Innovation (PIN) Workforce for Tomorrow Rotational Fellowship (WFT) is a first-of-its-kind rotational program devoted to creating the next generation of leaders within the state of Georgia. Adopting its primary goals of developing young leaders and driving growth/innovation, the WFT program’s target industries include agriculture (AgTech), finance (FinTech), sustainability and infrastructure, manufacturing and logistics, information technology, and health (BioTech and MedTech). The WFT program offers a unique experience to early career professionals by placing them in two, 6-month industry-specific rotations within public and private sectors. Fellows will contribute to an evolving workforce that drives crucial connections between various sectors. In addition to full-time compensation and unique work experience, WFT fellows are provided career development and mentoring throughout the program. The WFT program is open to undergraduate and graduate degree level participants with less than 5 years of work experience. Participants must reside in Georgia or agree to relocate to Georgia.
