Excited about 2019!

Hello friends, I am very appreciative for the opportunity to serve as the 2019 GEDA Chairman.  Hopefully, you and your loved ones had a wonderful holiday season and are looking forward to a prosperous and healthy new year!

At our October planning retreat, the GEDA Board, Committee Chairs and Shared Interest Group (SIG) Chairs worked to prioritize the top goals for each committee and SIG. We also made a change to the GEDA calendar. We are going to eliminate the June monthly luncheon / Brokers event. 

After meeting with five Atlanta area, experienced Brokers, we heard their message that June is generally a less than desirable month for a GEDA / Brokers event.  We are going to attempt to have an event with Brokers later in the year.  We want to build on these relationships and accommodate them so that the GEDA membership gets the benefit of an event that produces a quality number of Brokers participating. Stay tuned for more news on that front.

Once again, GEDA’s January meeting will take place at the State Capitol on January 29th. We will provide our legislators with lunch and hear some updates on the first couple of weeks of the Legislative Session. We hope you can join us! Register here.
